Two Day Introductory PODD Workshop

A two-day workshop for speech pathologists, teachers, parents, carers, and professionals specialising in augmentative and alternative communication. In the two day introductory workshop, participants will learn about the design of PODD communication systems and strategies for implementation of these AAC systems in everyday life. PODD communication systems can enable people with a communication disability to understand and use language for autonomous communication, to express their own ideas, thoughts and feelings - to say what they want to say. This workshop focuses mostly on “direct access” PODD communication books and will allow participants to learn how to select and customise them. Participants will become more confident in using these resources for communication at any time.
